Biography

Nicholas Grubic graduated from Queen’s University with Bachelor of Honours Sciences (Life Sciences) and Certificate in Business in 2019 and will be pursuing graduate studies in Epidemiology this upcoming Fall. He is a trainee researcher within the Cardiovascular Imaging Network at Queen’s and Queen’s Cardiopulmonary Unit. His research interests include cardiovascular pre-participation screening, program evaluation, echocardiography, point-of-care ultrasound, and cardiovascular epidemiology. He serves as a trainee member with the Canadian Cardiovascular Safety Network. His work is funded by CIHR and SEAMO. Complimenting his research interests in the cardiovascular screening of athletes, Nicholas has been a varsity lightweight rower for the Queen’s University Men’s Rowing Team and has competed under Team Ontario Rowing at the 2017 Canada Summer Games. He is now continuing his healthy and athletic lifestyle in the sport of triathlon.
